Discontinuation of Penny Orders and Deposits
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the permanent discontinuation of the U.S. penny coin. Effective immediately, any coin and currency orders or deposits that include pennies will be declined by the Federal Reserve. We are actively working to remove the penny option from PATH. For any questions about ordering or selling pennies, please reach out to your Federal Reserve Cash Office.
