I recently attended NACHA’s annual conference, “Smarter, Faster, Payments,” which focused heavily on instant payments. Institutions that can receive instant payments have a unique edge...don’t underestimate the power that “word-of-mouth” can have between customers. When they get their money immediately, it can be a powerful tool for attracting new customers.

I remember a story at the conference that highlighted this advantage. A company handling payroll for a nurse staffing agency paid bonuses instantly to nurses who worked extra shifts. When these nurses shared their experience, several co-workers changed to the financial institutions that provided instant payments.

Customers might not voice they are unhappy or interested in a service, but you'll find out about it once they've left. Instant payments are here, and it's time to build the infrastructure to offer them before your customers move to a bank that does.

Bankers' Bank of Kansas Joins the U.S. Faster Payments Council

We are excited to announce that Bankers' Bank of Kansas recently joined the U.S. Faster Payments Council, giving us an opportunity to stay up to date on developments in the payments landscape. Additionally, Daniel Hayden has joined the Digital Asset Committee. Our participation in the U.S. Faster Payments Council enables us to represent our community banks in discussions related to the changing payment environment. Future editions of our newsletter may feature updates and insights about the future of cryptocurrency based on the information shared by the council.

Given these complexities, it's essential to view cryptocurrencies from multiple perspectives.”
