Instant payments are here, and Bankers’ Bank of Kansas is committed to supporting you as you serve your customers. BBOK can support the settlement for receiving transactions through the FedNow service. Additionally, we can support receiving Real Time Payments through the Clearing House by acting as your funding agent.
Several cores are now prepared to offer instant payment solutions, and BBOK is ready to support your needs. Ensure you communicate with your core about your preferred settlement or funding agent; don’t let them make that decision for you.
“About 77% of banks plan to offer FedNow,” according to research from AZrizent, American Banker publisher. The researcher said that 62% plan to offer RTP. Are you prepared? ISO 20022 BBOK Status Update

The compliance date for ISO 20022 is March 10, 2025. BBOK is preparing for the upcoming update; be on the lookout for more preparation information from us in the coming months. Meanwhile, here are some important steps you should be taking to be proactive:

+Ensure your staff is informed about the changes
+Communicate with the following if your wires impact them:
>Your core
>Online Banking
>Mobile App
>Any other third parties that require preparation
+Identify any forms that need modifications
+Allocate time in the first quarter for training

At the time I am writing this Milton is a Category 5 hurricane and is moving towards Florida’s Tampa Bay area.
Most of Kansas would say our period for disaster would be in the spring with tornadoes, but how many of you
remember the ice storm in December of 2007? There were power outages across the state that affected 260,000
people and many of them were without power for up to 2 weeks. In Reno County alone there was $37.5 million
in damages. Scammers realize people are vulnerable in these times and strike fast.

Call-in Wire Authorizations
Having authorization codes set up for call-in wires with BBOK is an important part of your business continuity plan, ensuring you have the access you need in the event of team members being out of the office with the holidays quickly approaching. PATH generates secure emails with authorization codes that are sent on an annual basis to the company email address on file for you in the system. Make sure that email addresses

and phone numbers for your call-in wire users are correct on your call-in wire authorization list. If you need a copy of your current list or would like to update it, please contact us
by emailing path@bbok.com or calling 1.866.258.1430. Incorrect contact information in PATH or not having authorization codes set up for staff that need them will prevent BBOK from assisting with a call-in wire, which will result in a delayed completion of the process.
