TIP 2 - FinCen Section 2313A Orders Prohibiting Certain Transmittals of Funds Involving CIBanco, Intercam, and Vector
We've integrated the Primary Money Laundering Concern and Jurisdictions lists into PATH for scanning ingoing and outgoing transactions to ensure OFAC compliance. PATH flags transactions, prompting users to approve or reject them. If a bank approves, BBOK conducts further checks on potential matches for final approval or rejection.
*CXI also prohibits these transmittals of funds. |

INSTANT PAYMENT HOT TAKES
with Daniel Hayden |
|
Over the next two decades, the U.S. will undergo a significant wealth transfer, with trillions of dollars moving from the Baby Boomer generation to Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z. These younger generations expect instant access to their money, and the ability to move it just as fast.
Ask yourself:
- How much of your deposit base is already sitting in fintech apps like Venmo or PayPal, simply because your customers want real-time money movement.
- If the next generation never sets foot in a branch, are you delivering an online experience that meets their expectations, including instant payment capabilities?
Bankers’ Bank of Kansas can elevate your institution’s competitiveness by supporting the settlement of instant payments, so you don’t lose the next generation of customers to tech-first alternatives.

Update on Penny Orders: Separate Submissions Recommended
Given the unpredictable availability of pennies, we recommend that you place your penny orders separately from your other coin and currency orders. This approach helps minimize the inconvenience of having to resubmit orders in case of rejections due to penny shortages. Notably, the Federal Reserve has confirmed that there are no additional charges for placing separate penny orders. For any questions or further assistance, please feel free to reach out via email at path@bbok.com. |

Understanding the GENIUS Act and Stablecoins
Interest in Stablecoins and blockchain technology is on the rise. These innovations are reshaping how financial institutions, consumers, and regulators envision the future of digital currency. A key development is the GENIUS Act, enacted on July 18, 2025. In connection with this, the U.S. Department of the Treasury released an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR) to gather public feedback on implementing the new regulatory framework.
